This trip has been a fun day trip up Spray Lakes Rd. and is open to all levels of experience (there are some steep sections, but it is a well used, marked trail and is a reasonable length). Generally, we pick a location to meet at in the city and carpool out to Chester Lake. The only gear you need (weather depending) is a pair of snowshoes, which you can rent from a number of locations in Calgary if you do not have your own.
