We at the Sierra Waste Management group understand how it can be difficult to recycling material when you don't have a great deal of information at your finger tips.  Below we have provided information on local charities, organizations, and companies that will take your second goods and recyclable items.  We have also provided information for companies and teachers to start recycling programs.

Where can I recycle or donate items?

Everyone finds it difficult to know exactly what can be recycled and where that recyclable material can be taken.  Before you throw anything away have a look at the following table to see if you can't help to keep usable material out of the City of Calgary's landfills.  There are organizations and charities that will gladly take some of your waste off of your hands for from your doorstep for no charge!

Clean Calgary has provided a good list of companies and organizations that will take reusable items or recycle existing items.  If you haven't been able to find information from the table above this listing might be helpful as well.

Either of these resources are really great as they will help you determine if there is any company they know of that will take the material you have for reuse or recycling.

Stop Junk Mail

bulletCanadian Marketing Association's (CMA) Do Not Contact Service
This free service allows consumers the chance to submit their personal information to be removed from phone and junk mail lists of corporations that are registered with CMA.  CMA guarantees that after 3 months you will notice a decline in junk mail and phone calls and this will continue for 3 years!

Start a Classroom Recycling Program
